Dallas’ own Mo3 touched the hearts of his fans with a unique brand of raw street gospel and continues to inspire fans and artists from Texas and beyond. Today, his estate partners with his record label, H$M Music, and EMPIRE to share a new video for “AR,” a project highlight from Mo3’s recently released posthumous album Legend. Featuring rising Dallas rapper BigXThaPlug and rising Bay City rapper That Mexican OT, “AR” is Texas to the core. While BigXThaPlug unfurls his basso-voiced triplets to salute the OG, That Mexican OT spits fire and calls Mo3 the “King of Texas.” Despite the compelling performance by the two risers, Mo3 remains the star of the show, delivering a sticky hook with soulful melodies and machine-gun rhymes.
In the “AR” video, BigX and OT link up in Dallas, pulling up to one of Mo3’s favorite restaurants and Dallas staple Big Mama’s Chicken And Waffles, riding dirtbikes, and bumping music in vintage cars. The video honors Mo3’s legacy in a celebratory way, including clips of him performing, ‘LL3’ chains, and more. Though Mo3 is no longer with us, his legacy continues to inspire a new wave of melodic rap.
