Meet Big Oomp Records’ artist Cheeko FUE

Cheeko FUE is a larger-than-life artist signed to the legendary Big Oomp Records label. He also runs the Gold Money Grillz shop in Atlanta. The charismatic performer branded himself as a high-energy rapper during his come up in North Miami Beach, FL. Cheeko FUE is in the process of releasing a catalog of fresh music, approximately 18 songs, including “Buck da Jack.” The prominent single can be heard on the new Traps N Trunks mixtapes hosted by Bigga Rankin and DJ Scream. Cheeko FUE has a motivating story which is both intriguing and inspirational. Once he was released from a Florida correctional facility after being incarcerated on a drug trafficking charge (circa 2017), he was eager to put out new music and dropped the Lost album followed by FUEAGE PreLude Mixtape. He performed on The Black Umbrella’s Blood and Roses Tour in 2017 and caught the media’s attention. “The energy that this artist brings is electrifying…,” the Miami Times described Cheeko FUE’s performance.

Where are you from originally? Where are you located now?
North Miami Beach / Atlanta

What are the most important things you want to let fans know about right now?
It’s easy to set trends but to set a precedent and a standard creates value. Be an asset not a liability and create value. It’s what I’ve been doing!

How did you get your start in music?
With David Appel, Moses Cohen, and Mike Appel.

How would you describe your sound?
Trapped out, super star, confident, and real.

Which songs are you most known for?
My person is what I’m most known for, but I have big records produced by Big Korey and DJ Montay like “Mike a Wish” and “Motion” by NEW DRIP LEGXND. “Buck da Jack” is produced by SMG Chris.

Do you have any collaborations and/or have you performed with any known artists / producers?
Yes, Peso Peso, Gank Gaank, MMG Scrilla, Baby D, Eastside Boys, DJ Jelly…the list goes on.

What do you love most about making music?
I love to shed light where it’s dark. I love that my story allows people to create their own and feel comfortable in their own skin.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Sports broadcasting on ESPN. Also making music for movies and acting. Teaching seminars.
