Video: Derez De’Shon Ft. Money Mu – Residue

The Atlanta-based auto-tune crooner and “pain rap” pioneer, Derez De’Shon has racked up over a billion streams between the release of his hit track “Hardaway” in 2018 and the third installment of his acclaimed Pain series last year. His new track “Residue” features the gritty and sharp sounds that he’s utilized his whole career, with Money Mu’s feature only adding to the aesthetic. The video is filled with callbacks to the classic film “New Jack City”, with Derez assuming the role of famed cinema gangster Nino Brown, and the song serves as the perfect soundtrack to the visuals. After releasing the heartfelt “In My Feelings”, Derez is showing us the duality of his style, bringing fourth a track that is truly Atlanta to its core. Confidentially, “Residue” is the second single from Derez De’Shon’s yet to be announced upcoming album which will include features from Morray and others.
