Rod Wave just released the deluxe edition of SoulFly and is now on his nationwide SoulFly tour. Earlier this week, Rod gave an interview with Montreality, where he spoke about the new music and what inspires him. During the interview, Rod spoke about finding himself and discovering his journey into becoming an artist despite growing up around the street life.
Later on in the interview, Rod sings Adele’s “When We Were Young,” explaining that he sings that song to his babies when he gets home. He also talks about his love for other singer-songwriters, such as Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5. Towards the end of the interview he explains why he chose to interpolate Drake’s “Over My Dead Body” for his SoulFly song “OMDB.”
