When it comes to being a positive influence over the new generation of HipHop, look no further than platinum rapper G-Herbo. Today the young Chicago veteran releases his most mainstream body of work to date 25, which is his fourth studio album. The 19-track effort features the biggest names in music including 21 Savage, Polo G, Lil TJay, Gunna, The Kid LAROI, Rowdy Rebel, and of course his son Yosohn.
Additionally, the album is joined by a music video for the lead single, “I Don’t Wanna Die.” The song title makes enough of a statement! Although the black and white video directed by child will send chills down your spine. In the video, as Black Chicago natives live everyday life, they are clearly marked with targets on their backs. This visceral imagery shows a dark reflection of the present issues lurking over the community.
