Hailing from Zone 3 (Young Thug, Ludacris), Atlanta rapper Slimelife Shawty is next up in his city — and today he’s helping us get through hump day with his new heartfelt “Baby Boy” video single. On the ATL Jacob-produced beat, the young rapper candidly reflects on his life struggles that led to his current mental anguish but also serve as his motivation: “I know I’m in hell / Everywhere they say the slime couldn’t go, you know I went there.” Slimelife’s motivation is the reason for his iced-out watches and stacks of money he flexes in the ShotByWolf video. I think it’s admirable how Slimelife speaks on his accomplishments but is also super open about the mental struggles that he still deals with as a rising rap star.
