Video: Wacotron – Coastin

The videos don’t stop! Wacotron is here with the video for “Coastin” off his 4/20 released SMOKIN TEXAS mixtape (Pick Six Records). This time, Wacotron takes us back to the Trendwood Apartments in Waco, Texas, where he grew up and built his reputation. He invited the whole building out to come join the shoot! “Coastin” is one of the more lyrically vulnerable tracks on SMOKIN TEXAS, as Wacotron recounts his decision to pull himself out of the gutter by taking rap seriously. Pushing tough bars over Southside’s eerie, Western-esque synths, Wacotron raps, “My mama know I’m G, but that was not part of the plan / Nobody showed me sh*t, I taught myself to be a man / Gotta watch ’em ’cause I know they watching me like I’m the man / Now I’m the man.” Watching Wacotron fan himself with bands while driving into the Trendwoods makes it clear he is most definitely the man.
