Video: Young Dolph – Hashtag

In the video for “Hashtag,” the latest visual from Young Dolph and Key Glocks’ Dum and Dummer 2, Dolph is Dior-downed and claims he invited “your” girl to dinner before calling her back and letting her know he can’t make it. It’s a solo cut from the project but Dolph is not solo in the video — he’s accompanied by a bikini-clad baddie in a hotel suite with an ocean view, perhaps the lady he previously invited to dinner?

Dum and Dummer 2 is an album that exudes Black Boy Joy, as Dolph and Glock have both experienced their share of trials and tribulations and now they get to share in their successes. This album puts their kinship on display, at times it feels like they share their own language — songs like “Penguins,” emphasize their chemistry while “Buddy Love,” shows their lack of trust in nearly anyone but each other. If you’re not here to get all deep with it there are plenty of bangers to kick off the party and lots of movie-reference Easter eggs to discover throughout.
