Video: 03 Greedo Ft. Chief Keef – Bands In Da Basement

If you had wondered what tiny, child versions of 03 Greedo and Chief Keef would look like, the “Bands In Da Basement” video offers a peak. It starts with tiny Greedo buying a couple cold ones for him and tiny Keef (the cold ones being grape flavored Crush sodas) so the duo can keep refreshed while counting up their bands on a street corner. It pans between footage of 03 and Keef now, who are styling and balling just as much now as back then, only now their bands are up and they are respected rap icons.

“Bands In Da Basement” is a standout track from Load It Up Vol. 01, Greedo’s new album. Produced in full by Ron-RonTheProducer, Load It Up Vol. 01 applies the raw creativity of Greedo’s early “creep music” with the songwriting chops and mic presence of the locked-in Greedo who recorded thousands of songs in the months leading to his lockup. Spanning 17 tracks, including the hook-filled “Baccstage” ft. Shordie Shordie & Wallie The Sensei the burbling late night jam “Home Vlone,” and the hard-hitting “Drip Keep Going” ft. Key Glock, the new album is a showcase for the L.A. rapper’s inimitable mixture of melody and rhymes. Featuring additional appearances from Sada Baby, Rob Vicious of Shoreline Mafia, Desto Dubb, Z Money, Ralfy The Plug, Ketchy The Great, Runway Richy, and Weezy Huncho, Load It Up Vol. 01 is available everywhere via Alamo Records.
