Video: Jackboy – In My City

Jackboy is a rare talent — while he releases music at a prolific pace, he also maintains consistency in quality and versatility. He offers little Easter eggs of humor, stories from his past, his beliefs, and more, with each release. On “In My City,” the Pompano Beach, FL, rapper puts on for his hometown and the loyalty it breeds, “No rules in the street we bombin’ sh*t out like Osama/I ain’t worried ’bout you I got more shooters than Obama,” sings Jack. In the video, Jack shows us scenes from his hometown, posting up at the porch and the Chevron station with his partners (even the little ones).

This is the first single off Jack’s upcoming Living In History project, due 8/27 via Sniper Gang/EMPIRE. It feels like a symbolic first single, with Jack’s profile on the rise (averaging 3-5M YT views per release), it’s only right that he take this pivotal moment in his career to shoutout his roots and continue to declare loyalty to his home and community.
