Video: The Jacka – Ask God

Today, in addition to the posthumous Murder Weapon LP, The Jacka shares the video for “Ask God.” Originally filmed in 2014, the video is one of the final finished videos that the Jacka filmed before he passed. Directed by Suj and filmed in a studio in Oakland, the video emphasizes the celebratory aspects of the song, as Jacka mobs with beautiful ladies and some of his Day 1s, including Mob Figaz members Husalah and FedX and other Bay Area figures like Lil Blood.

Late legend The Jacka’s posthumous Murder Weapon LP is out now, via his own label The Artist Records and EMPIRE. You’ll find The Jacka’s preternatural wisdom and charm shines throughout— speaking loyalty to his people and the streets that raised him on “Can’t Go Home (ft. Freddie Gibbs),” dedication to his craft on “Never Worked,” and my personal favorite, the reflective, “Take Over The World (ft. Fed-Ex).” It features The Jacka’s close friends and collaborators like Freddie Gibbs, Curren$y, Berner, Paul Wall, Styles P, The Mob Figaz, Cormega, and more.
