Video: Rod Wave – Thief In The Night

St. Petersburg rapper Rod Wave just released the top-10 charting Ghetto Gospel four months ago, but he’s already releasing new music and announcing a forthcoming album. While sharing snippets from the new project, Rod revealed that the title will be Pray 4 Love, and is set to be released shortly.

Last night, Rod released his latest track, “Thief In The Night,” accompanied by a video from Cole Bennett on his Lyrical Lemonade platform. The new single displays Rod’s signature melodies and ability to balance gritty subject matter (“We ride around strapped, you can tell we did this before”) with emotional vulnerability that is relatable to a broader audience, the same dichotomy that has propelled “Heart On Ice” to a platinum certification.

Up next for Rod is his Ghetto Gospel tour, which begins next Tuesday in Augusta, Georgia, and includes sold out stops in Charlotte, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
