Switching up his flow for every song, and often multiple times within a single verse, Peewee Longway is endlessly inventive. Eager to tell the world about his ever-expanding collection of cars and jewels, Peewee shares “Wakanda,” his new single.
Inspired by his favorite auto, an all-black Panther, “Wakanda” is a spritely trap bouncer, produced by frequent Peewee collaborator Cicero of 808 Mafia. Alternating between a sing-song cadence and a nimble, but hard-charging bark, Peewee totes his ice, compares himself to T’Challa and Barack Obama, and artfully twists fly turns-of-phrase: “Pull up in the coupe, I’m in the Panther like Wakanda.”
About his inspiration for the song, Peewee said, “Shout out to the movement Wakanda and my new gt63 (Mercedes) that I just got. It reminds me of the Black Panther movie and I was on my Wakanda mode.”
“Wakanda” is the latest single from The Blue M&M 4, the MPA Bandcamp CEO’s upcoming mixtape, following the recently released “Fiji Water.”
