Video: Young Dolph Ft. Juicy J & Project Pat – By Mistake (Remix)

Hip-Hop’s pre-eminent independent hustler, Paper Route EMPIRE CEO Young Dolph built a reputation for extravagant videos to match his rich-life rhymes. In the new clip for “By Mistake (Remix),” Dolph brings a touch of Tennessee to an opulent hillside mansion, as he connects with Juicy J and Project Pat of seminal Memphis group Three 6 Mafia. Employing the same Bonnie to his Clyde from the original music video for “By Mistake,” Dolph and his lady friend hit a lick and spend the rest of the afternoon lamping poolside with J, Pat, and friends. With over 10 million combined streams on Spotify, “By Mistake” is one of the highlights from Role Model, Dolph’s 2018 project.

When asked what why he wanted to link up with other Memphis legends for the remix, Young Dolph replied, “M.E.M.P.H.I.S. Makin’ Easy Money Pimpin Hoes In Style.”

The Jordan Spencer-directed “By Mistake” (Remix) follows up the sumptuous video for “I Think I Can Fly,” inspired by the film Harlem Nights, which features an appearance from Snoop Dogg. Complete with spinning roulette wheels, acrobats in sparkling skin-suits, and comedic interludes, “I Think I Can Fly” is among the most extravagant and creative videos released in 2019.

Peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200, Role Model provides a new context for Dolph’s braggadocio and sets an example for rising independent rappers and anyone else trying to get out the mud. Role Model finds Dolph leveling up, experimenting with new flows and raising his boastful bars to a superhuman level. Featuring appearances from Snoop Dogg, Offset, Key Glock, Kash Doll, and Dolph’s mother on the moving intro track “Black Queen,” Role Model is Dolph’s origin story, establishing him as a symbol of hope to kids in the hood who desperately want to improve their lives. Earlier this year, Dolph announced the winner for the #ThatsMajorChallenge, inspired by his video for “Major,” featuring Key Glock, offering the choice between $30k cash or a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to the maker of the best user-generated content for the song. Stay tuned for much more from Young Dolph as he continues to expand his empire in 2019.
