An early architect of the gurgling, codeine-spiked Atlanta sound, Yung Ralph first gained traction with his regional hit “Look Like Money” and also as a frequent collaborator of Gucci Mane and Zaytoven. His recent resurgence began with 2013’s Juugin’ Round The City mixtape, and just last year he featured on Rich Gang’s “Ridin” before most recently on Young Thug’s “Rarri” from Slime Season.
Prepped to drop his most anticipated project to date, I Am Juugman, before year’s end, Yung Ralph kicks things off with the Fetty Wap-assisted lead single “Act A Fool,” a track that’s produced by Yung Lan, whose credits include Fetty’s “RGF Island” and Rich Homie Quan’s “Remember.” “When we linked we clicked ASAP, just being two humble dudes from the hood,” Yung Ralph told The FADER of connecting with Fetty for the track. “He rolled up his Backwoods, I rolled up my Swishers, and there it was – history was made.”
