Nature Nate – Breathe

Nature Nate – Breathe

Every once and while a new emcee comes along that has the ability to change the way a whole scene moves and shakes. Such is the path of Nature Nate who’s uncanny flow has cast him into the upper echelon of talent without even having released a full body of work.

While Dallas is known for its big lights, fast night life and rowdy fan base of Dallas Cowboy fans, Nature Nate sheds a rare light on his city from the South side like never before. Hailing from Duncanville, TX just south of the city, Nature Nate wants to set himself apart from the typical dope boy raps and gun slang that most rappers from Dallas typically aspire to.

“I’m not one of those people that came from some where else or anything like that, I grew up in Duncanville,” Nature Nate explained. “The Dallas sound is more typically dance or people making something catchy or talking about how much they’re in the streets, slanging dope or killing people – but most of them…. don’t even do that. I rap about more life situations and how I see them.”

His new release “Breathe” is a poignant take on the recent crisis facing Black males in America after countless Black males are being murdered by police via the use of excessive force.

“Just seeing the video of Eric Garner moved me to move my pen,” a frustrated Nature Nate explained. “This song isn’t necessarily about Eric Garner, it was the inspiration for the song, but this song is about what its like to be a Black youth in America. This song is about me and who I am and I think the listener gets to see hear that when the visualize my words”
