Jamaican-born, Atlanta-bred Genius is a major architect of the ATL hip-hop scene, working behind the scenes as a disc jockey & curator in the influential music city. His music background began with hosting mixtapes for artists such as Migos, 2 Chainz & K Camp – whom he toured with for three years as his official DJ.
With today’s release of A Come Up Story,Genius grabs the spotlight – demonstrating his considerable abilities on the mic & showcasing his expertise as a curator. The album is a collaborative effort with Mike Fresh – also an Atlanta-bred rapper who has worked closely with the likes of B.O.B, Zaytoven, SonnyDigital & IggyAzealea. The disc jockey & MC demonstrate close chemistry, trading bars and providing lyrics on their come up story after years of growing in the music industry.
“Mike Fresh and I have been close friends for years” explains Genius. “We have both been pushing our music career for years, and now share similar perspectives and lifestyles. It was only right we collaborate on the album.”
