One of Chicago’s finest purveyors of street lyricism, 600Breezy spits bars from behind bars in his latest freestyle. Rocking a fiery verse off the dome and through the prison phone, Breezy demonstrates his rap supremacy on “Who Run It?,” the latest freestyle over the Three 6 Mafia beat.
Bodying DJ Paul and Juicy J’s classic horn-heavy instrumental with assonant boasts, Breezy doesn’t let his current incarceration get in the way of his confidence: “Breezo when you coming home/Bitch I’m on my way out/Cause I ain’t got no curfew/They just fuckin’ hang out.” Breezo’s freestyle is the latest entry in G Herbo and Drake’s Who Run It Challenge. Last year, six months before the completion of his five year probation term on drug possession, Breezy was sentenced to prison time in Iowa for a technical violation of probation, a sentence his lawyers are fiercely contesting. Though he is currently serving time, the streets eagerly await the return of 600Breezy and his indefatigable bars.
