Video: ForteBowie – Neva Been

A key figure in the bustling ATL hip-hop scene, ForteBowie makes his mark with excellent rhyming, pure singing, and crafty songwriting. In the “Neva Been” video, shot in Forte’s old neighborhood, the Think It’s a Game artist flexes in a mall parking lot, accompanied only by producer Slade Da Monsta stunting on his all-white upright. “The inspiration for ‘Neva Been’ came from me dealing with naysayers,” ForteBowie explains. “You’re always going to have people that doubt you or straight up don’t like you without an apparent reason. I was dealing with that at the time and just expressed that over the beat.”

Behind the scenes, ForteBowie helped develop the career of Jacquees, the Cash Money-signed R&B heartthrob, and he penned the Billboard Hot 100-charting hit “B.E.D.,” which Jacquees turned into a Top 10 hit on Urban Radio. Most recently in late 2016, Forte shared Vice Haus 2, and is now gearing up for a project in the near future.
