2016 has been a breakout year for Camden, NJ rapper Mir Fontane. Gaining buzz over the past several months through his regional hit “Wanni Wag,” and collaborations with Jersey heavy-hitters: Tsu Surf, OVO Sound’s Mike Zombie, and G.O.O.D Music’s Charlie Heat, Mir Fontane is positioning himself to be an east-coast household name sooner than later.
Fontane recently visited Sway In The Morning to discuss the origins of his stage name, growing up in Camden, NJ, the #BlackLivesMatter movement and of course, spit some flames for the Friday Fire Cypher over some Mike Zombie production.
Stay tuned for Mir Fontane’s forthcoming Who’s Watching The Kids mixtape.
